2005 New York/New Jersey SAAM Conference

The New York/New Jersey regional conference of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s State of the African American Male (SAAM) initiative was held on Saturday June 18, 2005 at New York University Law School. The event attracted a wide cross-section of the Black community, with the participation of a broad range of leadership. Rep. Gregory Meeks, who represents the 11th congressional district in New York, led the proceedings. These photos capture the energy, intensity, and camaraderie experienced by all who were present that day.
